Auto accident claims the life of West Virginia motorcycle rider

There is no excuse at all for drivers to not watch out for motorcycles while they drive. With the warmer weather, motorists should be aware that more motorcycles will be sharing the roadways with other vehicles. When drivers don’t keep an eye out for these motorcycles, tragedy can occur. A motorcycle accident that happened recently proves just how tragic car versus motorcycle accidents can be.

The auto accident happened on U.S. Route 25 when a motorcycle was struck by a Mazda Protege. The occupants of the larger vehicle fared much better than the man who was on the motorcycle. One female occupant of the vehicle was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital via air transport. The driver of the vehicle wasn’t injured.

Sadly, the man on the motorcycle lost his life in the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the terrible accident. The 60-year-old man’s family will have to learn how to begin picking up the pieces after this tragic accident so they can move on with life. They have to think about making arrangements for his funeral and burial, which adds another level of stress to an already stressful situation.

The deceased man’s family members might decide that they want to seek compensation for their loved one’s death in this horrific motorcycle accident. They might be able to make claims for emotional distress, final expenses and other damages. Prior to filing claims and complaints, they should make sure they understand the process they will have to use. Knowing what to expect can help to make the situation easier to deal with.
